When my friend told me that I was to be the maid of honor for her wedding, I was extremely overjoyed. Almost immediately after we talked, though, I started to worry about what I would wear. My friend said that it was our choice what kind of gown we wanted to wear. Anything would be all right, as long as it fit the color theme.
I am the kind of woman who does not keep a lot of expensive clothes in my closet. I only buy those that I need. And since I rarely go to social events and parties, I do not have gowns or anything formal enough in my limited wardrobe collection.
Then my mother told me about this online shop she discovered. It was where she found the fabulous ball gown she wore for a Halloween charity auction event she and my father went to a year ago. I checked out the website and sure enough, I found some gowns for weddings that suite my taste.
My mother also told me to check out other online shops so that I could compare gowns and prices. I followed her advice and came up with a list of interesting choices. I found three gowns that embraced my criteria. They were elegant in a simple kind of way. And they were all in different shades of blue, which was my friend’s wedding motif.
After comparing them, I finally decided to choose the first one that I found. The one I found in the online shop where my mother bought her ball gown.
On her wedding day, my friend looked absolutely radiant. At the reception, we finally got the chance to be alone and after exchanging pleasantries, she told me how much she loved my gown. I couldn’t help but smile.
